Pennsylvania/Bahia

A new beginning…
Celebrating our past
Looking to the future
Pennsylvania/Bahia Partners

Eastern Pennsylvania/Bahia Partners has a proud history. Since the 1960s, the good citizens of Bahia and Pennsylvania have collaborated to create projects across a broad range of important issues from law to the environment, from arts to education to music and fashion.

With new leadership, the continuing loyalty of long-term members and the energy of new members, we have the opportunity to build and strengthen the PA side of the Partnership. We will do this by having quarterly meetings where we can hear about current projects, develop future ones and dream about new ventures. We are hoping to tie each meeting to an interesting Brazil-related event. The meeting on June 12 will be in Philadelphia in conjunction with the Odunde festival where African and African diaspora culture is celebrated.

Check out the stories in this blog. If you have been a member for many years, think about what else you would like to do with your partners in Bahia. If you are new member, consider how you can join one of the ongoing project or how you might create one out of your own expertise and interests, then join us at the next meeting or performance.
